​‘Career Criminals’ Caught During Monterey Park Traffic Stop

MONTEREY PARK - Two men accused of committing at least nine commercial burglaries in town were arrested during a traffic stop July 25.
 
Los Angeles men Timothy Carver Johnson, 52, and Otis Lee Wishum, 63, were arrested during the traffic stop around 2 a.m. in the area of Atlantic Boulevard and Garvey Avenue. The officer recognized them and their vehicle as being involved in commercial burglaries since February 2018, Monterey Park Police said.
 
A follow up investigation revealed the number of commercial burglaries the suspects are linked to and their criminal past, which were described as extensive, with multiple burglary arrests, Monterey Park Police said.
 
Johnson’s arrest records date back to 1985. Wishum’s arret record dates as far back as 1969, Monterey Park Police said.
