Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor One of my readers alerted me to a social media post regarding an incident Tuesday night, August 20 in Glendora. I’m not sure how widespread the rumor was, but the incident was described as a home invasion east of Citrus College and a person was stabbed. A call to the Glendora Police Department Thursday morning yielded little information, but Lt. Marty Barrett said that the incident was not a home invasion robbery. He spoke briefly with the department’s Investigations Bureau which did not want to release information yet. During the interview, Barrett said a social media post would come within the next few days.
According to the Glendora Police crime map, officers investigated an aggravated assault at 10:48 p.m. in the 100 block of South Marcile Avenue. Not wanting to be deterred, I spoke with the Los Angeles County Fire Department which responded to the home. A fire department representative said firefighters responded at 10:48 p.m. to a stabbing victim. In the call, an informant stated a suspect broke in and stabbed the informant’s grandson. It is unclear if a suspect was arrested and the victim’s condition is not known.
