 Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor PASADENA – A teen passenger in a vehicle was wounded in a daytime shooting, authorities said Tuesday.
The 15-year-old was located in the 1600 block of North Los Robles Avenue January 18 just after 3 p.m. The teen was taken to an area hospital and was described as being in critical condition, according to the Pasadena Police Department. A second shooting occurred minutes later that left a 20-year-old man wounded in the 500 block of Eldora Road. It is not publicly clear if both shootings are related. Temple City teens Andyn Bae, 17, and Eric Gullekson, 16, died at the scene. Nicholas Torres, a 17-year-old Monterey Park resident died after being hospitalized. The crash occurred around 8:25 p.m. Sunday on Michillinda Avenue south of Foothill Boulevard. Bae was driving the 2005 Honda south on Michillinda when, for unknown reasons, it crashed into a raised concrete curb, bounced and hit a chain link fence, crashed into a dirt/shrub embankment and rolled over, according to the California Highway Patrol. It is unclear as of Tuesday whether alcohol and/or drugs contributed to the crash.  Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor PASADENA - One man was wounded, two others escaped injury during a confrontation and shooting Sunday, police said.
The incident unfolded in the 300 block of Villa Street around 9:46 p.m. January 16. Three men were standing outside a park in the area when a group of five males arrived in a sedan, exited the vehicle and confronted the three men, according to the Pasadena Police Department. After the confrontation, one of the males from the sedan stole a necklace from one of the three victims. As the five males reentered the sedan, one of them pulled out a handgun and opened fire, wounding one of the three victims in an arm and his back, according to the Pasadena Police Department. The 20-year-old wounded man was hospitalized. The suspects fled the scene. |
