The body displayed trauma, but police have not specified if that trauma was accidental, suicide, or something else, despite the death being deemed suspicious in nature. A jogger discovered the body at the park, 4550 Oak Grove Dr., around 7:50 a.m. The victim is possibly a woman in her 40s. There is no immediate word on how long the body may have been at the park before being discovered. The victim is Ernesto Jimenez, 27. He was identified by Sarah Ardalani, public information officer for the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner. Shots rang out around 8:09 p.m. in the 200 block of Parke Street. Officers found Jimenez unresponsive on the sidewalk and attempted to revive him, but he was pronounced dead, according to the Pasadena Police Department. Investigators believe Jimenez was walking south on the sidewalk when one or more suspects shot at him. Jimenez was hit numerous times in the upper torso and attempted to run, but he collapsed, Pasadena Police said. Detectives are following up on multiple leads. The crash occurred around 3 a.m. at East Orange Grove Blvd. and North Craig Ave., November 15. A 23-year-old woman died at the scene. A 26-year-old man was taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital for treatment, according to Lt. Sean Dawkins of the Pasadena Police Department. The vehicle struck a light pole. No other vehicles were involved, Dawkins told SGV CityWatch. Investigators are still determining the cause of the crash, Dawkins told SGV CityWatch. Orange Grove from Oak Avenue to Craig Avenue will be closed in both directions. Hikers discovered the body of a man off a hiking trail near the nature center parking lot, 1750 N. Altadena Dr., at 6:30 a.m. Nov. 8. The hikers alerted nature center staff and called 9-1-1, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. “A handgun was discovered at the scene. At this time, it is unknown if this shooting is criminal or accidental in nature,” according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau in a written statement. The incident occurred in the 1700 block of North Altadena Drive just after 7 a.m. November 8. There is no suspect information at this time, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. Pasadena firefighters responded to what was described as a technical rescue to 1750 N. Altadena Dr. at 7:01 a.m., but it is unclear if the two incidents are related. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor PASADENA - A motorcycle officer was unharmed after a truck driver allegedly intentionally crashed into a police officer’s motorcycle and sped away from the scene Friday morning.
The officer was conducting traffic enforcement at the intersection of Orange Grove Boulevard and Rosemont Avenue November 6. The officer pulled over the truck driver who allegedly ran a red light. Initially compliant, the driver then backed his truck into the motorcycle and fled, according to Lt. Marie Sell of the Pasadena Police Department. “As the officer walked to the rear of the vehicle towards his motorcycle, the suspect put the truck in reverse and rammed the motorcycle, narrowly missing the officer,” Sell told SGV CityWatch. The incident occurred around 8:25 a.m. The suspect then fled the scene at a high rate of speed. A search of the area did not yield the suspect who remains at large, Sell told SGV CityWatch.
