Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor PASADENA - A man and woman implicated in a shooting July 4 were taken into custody August 19 after being tracked to a San Dimas home, the Pasadena Police Department said.
Kimberly Ann Troncoso, 34 and Jay Aaron Castillo, 26, were arrested in San Dimas by detectives From the Pasadena Police Robbery/Homicide Unit. Detectives also confiscated evidence, including multiple firearms during the execution of a search warrant, according to the Pasadena Police Department. The shooting took place around 12:30 a.m. July 4 and the 1300 block of Ridge Way. Officers responding to a shots fired call discovered evidence that an unknown number of suspects fired into an inhabited home. They also determined that no one was wounded in the shooting, according to the Pasadena Police Department. Using investigative techniques, detectives determined that Troncoso and Castile, both San Dimas residents, were directly involved in the shooting. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed one felony charge each of shooting add a habit of dwelling against both suspects August 23. Troncoso is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail. Castillo is being held in lieu of $260,000 bail, the Pasadena Police Department said. Troncoso is being held at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Los Angeles, while Castillo is being held in Men’s Central Jail. Both are scheduled to appear in Pasadena Superior Court, Wednesday, August 25. |
