PASADENA - Beginning March 18, Pasadena City College will offer temporary remote instruction to students out of an abundance of caution to prevent potential coronavirus transmission, according to a campus statement.
The campus will also cancel or postpone events with a projected attendance of more than 100 people. Sporting events will continue as scheduled, sans spectators. These changes are expected to last through April 20, according to the statement posted on the Pasadena City College Student Health Services webpage.
Classes that require face-to-face instruction will go on as scheduled, including performing arts classes, lab courses and physical education, according to the statement.
“There are no confirmed cases of coronavirus on our campus at this time, and the college is not closed for business,” according to the statement.
Campus officials reiterated that the college is not closing, facilities will remain open and many operations will continue normally.
