POMONA - One driver died at the scene of a two-vehicle collision early Friday.

The crash occurred in the 4100 block of Valley Boulevard around 8:52 a.m. August 16. First responders found one of the drivers laying on the ground and unresponsive. The driver, only described as a man, died at the scene, according to the Pomona Police Department.

The other driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. It is unclear if that other driver sustained any injuries.

Both east and west traffic lanes in the 4100 block of Valley Boulevard will remain closed for several hours during an investigation.

POMONA - One person died after what was described as a gold Lexus SUV went up a hillside and rolled multiple times on the east I-10 freeway near Kellogg Drive.

The No. 5 lane of the east I-10 freeway just east of Via Verde remains closed for up to two hours, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported around 5:30 a.m., July 3. As first responders were being dispatched, a caller reported to the CHP that a person was possibly trapped under the overturned SUV.

Blood was reportedly coming out of the vehicle, according to CHP traffic logs.

UPDATE: As of 1:56 p.m., all lanes were reopened, according to the California Highway Patrol.

POMONA - Possibly as many as 30 to 50 vehicles were disabled after a large pothole developed on the northbound 71 freeway near Holt Avenue Tuesday.

A full freeway closure of the 71 at Holt Avenue is in place for an unknown duration. The California Highway Patrol is attempting to get an updated status from Caltrans who has been requested for emergency repair work, but materials needed for the emergency repair work are apparently not available until the day shift crew arrives, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP first received calls from drivers around 4:11 a.m. Wednesday, March 15.

POMONA - Northbound lanes of the 71 freeway at Holt Avenue have been closed due to a fatal crash.

A vehicle described as a burgundy Grand Caravan likely struck the pedestrian around 3:33 a.m. The van was stopped in the right shoulder with a shattered front windshield, according to CHP traffic logs.

A body covered in a black jacket was seen laying near the center divider.

UPDATE, 7:56 a.m.: All lanes have reopened, according to the California Highway Patrol.

POMONA - All lanes of the east I-10 freeway at Kellogg Drive remain closed after at least one person was killed in a crash early Thursday morning.

First responders were dispatched to the crash around 5:15 a.m. January 5. The crash involved a silver sedan that possibly hit the center divider. A semi hauling a trailer was also likely involved, according to California Highway Patrol traffic logs.

The closure is for an unknown duration.

POMONA – A pedestrian was killed by a train around 5:41 a.m. Wednesday.

The investigation is taking place at East First Street and Electra Street. The pedestrian died at the scene, according to the Pomona Police Department.

An Amtrak train is stopped on the tracks. Fright service and Metrolink service appear to be moving still, albeit slowly in the area.

POMONA - County firefighters are working to pull the driver from the twisted wreck of a dark blue sedan after he crashed into the rear of a tractor trailer in the I-10 freeway just east of Kellogg Drive.

The driver of the dark blue Honda accord was allegedly speeding in lanes of the eastbound I-10 freeway before the crash. The collision is taking up the No. 3 and 4 lanes of the eastbound side of the freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported around 1:32 a.m. May 5.

When Los Angeles County Firefighters arrived on scene, they reported that the driver was breathing, had a pulse, but was unresponsive, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Multiple good Samaritans pulled over to the side of the freeway and either were attempting to flag down other drivers for help, or prevent other drivers from crashing into the trapped Honda Accord and tractor trailer, according to a law enforcement helicopter over the scene.

A one-hour Sig Alert for the No. 3, 4 and 5 lanes of traffic was issued at 1:49 a.m.

POMONA - The California Highway Patrol issued a Sig Alert for two hours affecting several lanes on the eastbound I-10 freeway just west of Kellogg Drive after a semi hauling Coca-Cola overturned and spilled its load Saturday morning.

The No 3 and 4 lanes will be blocked while workers upright the trailer and semi, which overturned on its roof, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported to the CHP around 5:42 a.m. March 5. The semi hauling a 65-foot fully-loaded trailer possibly collided with two sedans, according to CHP traffic logs.

Much Coca-Cola reportedly has spilled onto the roadway.

It is not publicly clear if there were any injuries.

POMONA - A police officer was wounded in the leg by gunfire and is expected to survive, according to the Pomona Police Department.

The officer was wounded in the area of Angela Street and Chanselor Street.

The shooting likely occurred around 7:20 p.m.

A preliminary California Highway Patrol officer safety broadcast indicated one suspect may be detained and possibly three others are being sought.

POMONA - A person was found dead along a freeway off ramp Monday morning, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The body was discovered near the Holt Avenue off ramp from the north 71 freeway. The person, described as possibly a white male in his 30s, may have been the victim of a rollover crash that occurred last night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A two-hour Sig Alert was issued for the off ramp.

It was not immediately clear how far along the ramp from surface streets the body was found.
