POMONA – A burglary alarm prevented three suspects from entering the Pomona Indoor Swapmeet January 10.
The suspects, 19-year-old Kyonne Garner, 21-year-old Jaquan Shaw and 21-year-old Tyshawn Murphy, carried a number of power tools to the roof, likely in an effort to break their way in, according to the Pomona Police Department.
The alarm was triggered at 9:45 p.m.
A helicopter arrived along with police to the 1600 block of East Holt Avenue and spotted the three suspects on the roof as they attempted to flee, but they were arrested once they climbed down, Pomona Police said.
All three suspects, listed as Los Angeles residents, were booked on suspicion of attempted commercial burglary.
