CityWatch Editor POMONA - Two people are dead after a domestic violence suspect being chased by police crashed into a vehicle Wednesday. The pursuit sped down Garey Avenue near County Road where the collision occurred. The vehicle containing two occupants was ripped to shreds. The occupants died at the scene, but the suspect survived. Officers responded to a domestic violence call in the 400 block of East Tenth Street just after 9:30 p.m. April 1. The suspect drove up to the scene as officers were interviewing the victim, according to the Pomona Police Department. “The suspect returned to the location in a truck, driving recklessly and intentionally struck a parked patrol vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene, initiating a police pursuit,” according to the Pomona Police Department in a written statement. Pomona man Marshall Judson, 31, was booked on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter, assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer, driving under the influence, driving without a valid license, felony evasion and firearm related charges, according to the Pomona Police Department. Officers recovered from Judson’s vehicle a firearm and miscellaneous firearm components. He also did not have a valid driver’s license, according to the Pomona Police Department. Judson is being held in the Pomona jail ahead of a scheduled appearance in Pomona Superior Court Monday, April 6.
