ROSEMEAD – A man who was initially described as a homicide suspect was arrested after a lengthy barricade inside a motel room Tuesday.
The unidentified suspect was flushed out of the motel room with gas canisters by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau. The suspect made a most dramatic exit from the room as deputies surrounded the suspect, according to video from CBS2 news.
The suspect was holed up in the 100 block of San Gabriel Boulevard.
Deputies sent a K9 after the suspect and he was subdued by the dog who ferociously clamped down on the suspect’s flesh. The barricade lasted more than four hours. Whittier Police initially tried to get the suspect to surrender. The Special Enforcement Bureau was called to assist at 4:40 p.m. |
