Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor ROSEMEAD - A man found dead in a Rosemead neighborhood August 2 was apparently seen in a physical altercation with another man just before his death.
First responders were called to be 3300 block of muscatel Avenue just after 8 a.m. to a medical emergency call. The victim, only described as an Asian male in his early or mid 50s, was found with abrasions to his upper torso, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. “Investigators learned the victim was involved in a physical altercation with another male and had been pushed down to the ground during the incident. The male suspect was last seen north on Muscatel Avenue and out of view,” according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department in a written statement. It is unclear as of Monday morning, August 7, if the suspect has been identified and or taken into custody. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor ROSEMEAD - Four handguns and ammunition were seized March 13 after deputies arrested a man accused of committing assault with a deadly weapon and other felony charges stemming from a shooting.
Deputies were called to the 3000 block of Garvey Avenue on a report of gunfire heard inside of a residence around 2:30 p.m. The property was surrounded and the suspect emerged and was taken into custody, according to Sgt. Liu of Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. Inside the residence, multiple bullet holes were found throughout the property, Liu told SGV CityWatch. The suspect was only described as being in his 60s. No one was injured, Liu told SGV CityWatch. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor ROSEMEAD - Two people are in unknown condition after being stabbed Sunday. The victims were found near New Avenue and Hellman Avenue around 9:16 p.m. Deputies are attempting to confirm information that the victims were possibly stabbed in another police jurisdiction and then wound up at New and Hellman, according to Lt. John Wargo of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. A black SUV was seen being driven away southbound on New Avenue. It is unclear if the SUV is involved in the stabbings. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor LOS ANGELES - A 37-year-old track coach at Rosemead High School is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday, accused of a long-term sexual relationship with a teen girl. Fidel Camarena Dominguez of La Puente is facing six counts of lewd acts on a child 14 or 15 years old, two counts each of oral copulation of a person under 16, dissuading a witness from prosecuting a crime and one count each of unlawful sexual intercourse and oral copulation of a person under 18, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. Dominguez is accused of carrying on the relationship from February 2015 to June 2017, prosecutors said.
Dominguez was arrested by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Special Victims Bureau March 1 at 10:40 a.m. He was booked at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station, Los Angeles County booking records show. In addition to serving as track coach, Dominguez also served as a day-to-day substitute teacher, according to documents from Transparent California. A decade ago, he served as track coach at Beverly Hills High School. Dominguez is being held in lieu of $400,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in Pomona Superior Court. |
