The man was wounded in the 2100 block of San Gabriel Boulevard October 19. He was reportedly taken to a hospital for treatment, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The man’s condition is not publicly known. What sparked the deputy or deputies to open fire is not immediately known.
