Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor ROSEMEAD - A woman in her 50s is recovering from non-life-threatening wounds after several men entered her home and possibly hit her during a home invasion robbery.
The incident occurred in the 2500 block of Falling Leaf Avenue around 10:11 p.m. The woman was possibly knocked unconscious during the attack, but more concrete details are difficult because of a language barrier, according to Lt. Chris Kusayanagi of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. The Asian woman was asleep when the suspects, possibly as many as three, entered the home without forcing their way in. The woman was possibly attacked with a crowbar, Kusayanagi said. Deputies believe the woman was punched rather than hit with a crowbar. The home was found ransacked, but the loss was not immediately known, Kusayanagi said. “We don’t know what was taken, we don’t have good [suspect] descriptions. It sounds like she was unconscious, because we’re trying to put together a timeframe and it’s not matching up,” Kusayanagi said. |
