CityWatch Editor UPDATE, 2:13 p.m.: Homicide investigators announced a man has been detained in the shooting investigation, but have not released any other details. ROSEMEAD - A woman was the apparent victim of a shooting Monday. The victim, who has not been publicly identified, died from gunshot wounds after being taken to an area hospital May 4, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. First Responders were sent to the 2400 block of Strathmore Avenue around 6:14 a.m. It is not yet clear if the victim was shot in the 2400 block of Strathmore Avenue, or possibly dropped off at the location. It is also unclear if paramedics transported the victim to the hospital, or if she was dropped off by unknown persons. Anyone with information on this incident is urged to call the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500.
