Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor ROWLAND HEIGHTS - More than 50 firefighters knocked down a blaze that gutted a restaurant inside a strip mall Tuesday night. About 45 percent of the strip mall burned at 1725 S. Nogales St. The fire was dispatched at 10:06 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. A Korean barbecue restaurant, Thirsty Cow, apparently was greatly affected by the fire.
It took firefighters just under three hours to knockdown the fire. 10 businesses were saved No injuries were reported. Firefighters remained on scene into the early morning Tuesday for “mop up” operations. The fire’s cause is under investigation. |
