The robbery occurred near the Canyon Point Marketplace, 19725 Colima Rd., June 26. The items were taken by force and while the couple had a baby with them, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Crime broadcast. The suspects fled in what was described as a black or blue SUV, either a Kia or Hyundai. At least two of the suspects were described as a Latino male and a Latino female, both in dark clothing. The SUV was last seen driven towards Colima Road and out of view. Deputies at the scene preliminarily stated that the victim, a man, was shot in the chest. The shooting reportedly occurred in the area of Fullerton Road and Palacios Drive, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s crime broadcast. Deputies and firefighters are still at the gas station, 19004 Colima Rd. The victim was transported to a trauma center. His condition was not publicly available. An SGV CityWatch reader who was at the gas station believes that the victim was a passenger in the vehicle. The vehicle crashed into the side of a home in the 2900 block of Blakeman Avenue around 4:43 a.m. April 18, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Two males inside the vehicle were witnessed fleeing the crash scene on foot, according to Lt. Avila of the Los Angeles County Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff’s Station. Firefighters have an urban search and rescue apparatus on scene. The vehicle crashed through the kitchen of the home. No occupants inside the home have been injured, according to the California Highway Patrol. The males who fled the vehicle were reportedly wearing light colored sweatshirts and light colored pants, the CHP was told. Deputies detained three suspects who fled the Sentra near the 99 Cents Only Store, 19033 Colima Rd. The driver drove away after three occupants escaped and were caught. Deputies found the abandoned Sentra nearby, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Walnut Station traffic. A helicopter is assisting with the search. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor ROWLAND HEIGHTS - The victim of an assault is being treated on scene by firefighters as deputies search for possibly three suspects. The search is taking place at and around a parking structure at Pearl Plaza, 18848 Labin Ct. in Rowland Heights. The suspects are described as male Asians, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s radio traffic.
The extent of injuries and the weapon used were not immediately known. Walnut Station deputies are being assisted by Industry deputies and a police helicopter. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor ROWLAND HEIGHTS - A suspect is in custody, his domestic abuse victim possibly severely injured at the scene of a pursuit termination Wednesday night. The chase began in South Gate Wednesday afternoon and wound through SoCal. The suspect could be seen hitting his female passenger who attempted to escape the vehicle while it was in motion several times. The chase entered Rowland Heights where the suspect fled the car and ran into 99 Cents Only Store, 19033 E. Colima Rd. California Highway Patrol officers ran after him and cuffed him.
Los Angeles County Firefighters accompanied by their battalion chief are on scene treating the woman. South Gate Police attempted to stop the suspect after they responded to a call of a man beating a woman inside the car. The suspect drove very erratically throughout the chase. He drove through a South Los Angeles Park where people were walking and sitting. He smashed through a chain link fence in the park. In the La Mirada area, the driver used the sidewalk to evade the CHP. Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor ROWLAND HEIGHTS - A woman, possibly in her 70s, was freed from under a vehicle on Fullerton Road Wednesday morning.
The vehicle, only described as a grey sedan, was being backed out of a driveway. The driver did not see the woman as she passed by on a sidewalk and ran over her, according to Sgt. Armando Perdomo of the California Highway Patrol Santa Fe Springs Office. The woman was struck in the 2400 block of Fullerton Road just before 8:30 a.m., according to California Highway Patrol traffic logs. Firefighters arrived and freed the 71-year-old woman pinned under the vehicle, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department radio traffic. The woman sustained possible moderate injuries, Perdomo said. The woman was taken by ground ambulance to a nearby hospital. No arrests have been made. |
