Investigators revealed that a suspect was arrested and a weapon was recovered, but have not revealed the suspect’s name, or a possible motive. The shooting took place around 11:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of Sierra Leone Avenue. Deputies responded to multiple calls of a gunshot victim. Deputies found two victims, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. “One victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The second male Hispanic adult victim was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in stable condition,” according to the Sheriff’s Department in a written statement. Social media posts claim Curtis went missing and was last seen in Hacienda Heights/Rowland Heights area Christmas Day. Curtis was found after first responders were called to a report of a person not breathing in the 18400 block of Santar Street, according to Sgt. Davis of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Diamond Bar/Walnut Station. Firefighters received the call around 8:42 p.m. Curtis was officially pronounced dead at 8:45 p.m., according to coroner Public Information Officer Sarah Ardalani. ROWLAND HEIGHTS - One person died Monday evening in a vehicle on the eastbound 60 freeway west of Fullerton Road. First responders located a red Dodge minivan in the center divider just after 7:30 p.m. January 2. Los Angeles County firefighters had to remove the person from the Dodge minivan to perform CPR, but the person died at the scene, according to California Highway Patrol traffic logs. First Responders were told a possible seizure led to the death. It is unclear if the person who died was a passenger, or was a driver. It is also unclear if the minivan crashed into the center divider or merely had stopped. As of 8:50 p.m., the HOV, No. 1 and 2 lanes were blocked as first responders waited for investigators from the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner. Davis of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Diamond Bar/Walnut Station. First responders were called to the scene around 8:42 p.m. The woman was reportedly found inside a vehicle. Identification for the woman is pending. She was only described as a female in her 20s, according to Public Information Officer Sarah Ardalani of the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner. Firefighters and deputies responded to the 18900 block of Daisetta Street just before 8:30 a.m. March 23 for an unspecified medical emergency. The woman was declared dead at the scene. The victim is 47-year-old Maioxian Liu of Rowland Heights, according to Lt. Larry Dietz of the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner. A cause of death has yet to be determined. An autopsy has not yet been performed. A Sheriffs Walnut/Diamond Bar Station supervisor deferred questions regarding the death to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau. The fire was reported around 3:52 a.m. in the 18700 block of Colima Road. Firefighters requested a second-alarm response for more units to fight the spreading flames, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Three other businesses in the strip mall, in addition to the Colima Animal Hospital, were destroyed. Nearby mobile homes were evacuated as a precaution. No people were injured in the fire. |
