The closure, previously delayed due to rain, is scheduled to begin at 12 a.m. and finish by 5 a.m. March 5, according to Caltrans. Traffic will be detoured onto Via Verde Street. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor SAN DIMAS - Deputies are looking to identify and locate two people after a resident claimed one of them pointed a semi-automatic handgun at him during an argument in the resident’s driveway February 28. The resident apparently opened fire at the suspects as they sat in their grey Nissan Maxima in the 800 block of Northcape Avenue just after 11 p.m. The suspects fled in the Maxima after the gunfire erupted, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas Station. A search yielded the abandoned Maxima near San Dimas Avenue and Puddingstone Drive. The suspects reportedly fled westbound on foot, deputies said.
One suspect is a Hispanic man between 20 to 30 years old. He stands 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes and wore a grey hooded sweatshirt. The second suspect is a female Hispanic between 25 to 35 years old, stands 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 125, has brownish red shoulder-length hair. She also wore a grey hooded sweatshirt. Anyone who can help identify the suspects is urged to call the San Dimas Sheriff’s Station at 909-450-2700.
