Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor SAN DIMAS – A man in his 50s died in a collision on the westbound I-10 freeway at Kellogg Drive April 19. Possibly as many as four vehicles were involved in the crash that shut down all westbound lanes until just after 2:30 a.m. CHP officers were initially told a white Toyota Rav4 was involved in the crash and possibly fled the scene, according to California Highway Patrol traffic logs. It was not immediately clear if the Rav4 was ever found. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor SAN DIMAS - An unknown suspect fired several rounds from a handgun into the ground just outside rooms near Motel 6 Saturday morning, a Sheriff’s lieutenant said.
The shooting took place south of the Motel 6, 502 W. Arrow Hwy., around 6:37 a.m. April 18. Video surveillance showed the suspect as he opened fire, according to Lt. Mark Skaggs of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas Station. “Deputies did find three expended 9mm shell casings on the south side of the motel. A male Hispanic in all dark clothing with a hooded sweatshirt covering his head was walking along in front of the rooms and shot into the ground,” Skaggs told SGV CityWatch. No one was injured. The gunman continued walking west after firing his gun. He remains at-large. |
