SAN DIMAS - A home was heavily destroyed after a fire tore through the interior and injuring firefighters Friday afternoon.
Both firefighters suffered minor injuries. The fire tore through the attic, causing an internal collapse which may have briefly trapped both firefighters, according to Los Angeles County Fire Deartment radio traffic.
Both firefighters were freed from the small collapse and later hospitalized with minor injuries.
The fire was reported around 2:33 p.m. in the 800 block of Dumaine Avenue.
Access to ventilate the roof was made difficult due to solar paneling, firefighters reported.
No other injuries were reported.
The cause was not disclosed.
