The suspect was taken into custody November 2 without further incident after fleeing through the City of San Dimas Public Library, 145 N. Walnut Ave., according to Lt. Ed Mackenzie of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas Station.
Deputies on patrol saw Ronnie Terry, a San Dimas resident, on foot and tried to speak with him, but he fled, Mackenzie said.
Extra deputies, aided by a helicopter, searched for Terry as he ran through an apartment complex behind Albertsons, 220 E. Bonita Ave. he eventually ran into the library and out the rear of the building where deputies found and arrested him near City Hall.
Vigilant residents provided deputies with the Terry’s movements, leading to his capture, Mackenzie said.
