CityWatch Editor SAN DIMAS - A suspect wanted in an assault and battery incident was located at a country nightclub and briefly refused to surrender to deputies Sunday morning. The suspect was being sought by deputies hours before being found at Montana’s Country Nightclub, 657 W. Arrow Hwy., April 26. He is apparently an employee there, according to Lt. Serrano of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas Station. Deputies tracked down the suspect to Montana’s. He was allegedly armed with a knife and held deputies at bay for more than an hour. Responding deputies began calling for assistance around 5:34 a.m. There was some sort of a confrontation with the suspect, but the situation cooled down. Deputies requested a mental evaluation team to help get the suspect to surrender peacefully. Eventually, deputies took the suspect into custody. His name was not readily available. ********** The arrest record in this article is being redistributed by SGV CityWatch and is protected by constitutional, publishing and other legal rights.
