CityWatch Editor SAN DIMAS - Deputies arrested a man Friday the 13th, accusing him of being the gunman in a recent shooting. Deputies performed a traffic stop on the suspect around 3:15 a.m. after realizing the vehicle matched the description of a vehicle seen in a shooting within the San Dimas Sheriff’s Station patrol area weeks prior, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. “While detained, the driver self admitted to being involved in the shooting. During a search of the vehicle, deputies recovered an unregistered loaded firearm, and a controlled substance,” according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department in a written statement. Jonathan Acosta, 35, was booked on felony charges at 3:15 a.m. He remains in custody in the San Dimas jail in lieu of $30,000 bail.
