Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor SAN MARINO – Two suspects were arrested June 1, and one is possibly at-large, after a burglary occurred at a home, according to the San Marino Police Department.
A resident witnessed as many as three masked suspects exit his property, which is adjacent to a burglarized home in the 1700 block of Sharon Place just after 2 p.m. June 1. Officers arrived, conducted a containment search, but found nothing except a smashed window, according to the San Marino Police Department. “At this time, a vehicle was observed leaving the immediate area at a high rate of speed. Detectives attempted to conduct a traffic enforcement stop on the vehicle. The vehicle stopped and continued and a pursuit was ensued,” according to the San Marino Police Department in a written statement. Two suspects in the vehicle fled once it stopped after crashing into a stop sign at Roses Road and Segovia Avenue in San Gabriel. The driver was immediately taken into custody. A second suspect was believed to have fled east. During a containment search, a resident in the 400 block of Segovia reported a man hiding in his rear yard. With help from a Pasadena Police K9, Pasadena Police helicopter, Alhambra Police, Monterey Park Police, San Gabriel Police and South Pasadena Police, the suspect was taken into custody. Both suspects were not publicly identified. |
