The stabbing took place in the 1100 block of Thienes Avenue Friday, April 21 around 2:37 a.m. The suspect, described as a 45 to 50-year-old man, was with possibly two other suspects attempting to steal vehicle parts when a resident confronted the trio. The suspect was declared dead at the scene. One person has been detained for questioning, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The stabbing occurred in the 2500 block of Santa Anita Avenue around 5:40 p.m. The victim was taken to an area hospital and was pronounced dead, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
