Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor SOUTH PASADENA - A man was booked on suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon, accused of stabbing another man during an altercation April 21.
The fight began in the 1000 block of Fremont Avenue around 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Witnesses reported two men fighting each other, but the two then headed to the L Line South Pasadena Station. At the station, officers found both men in question. One man suffered multiple stab wounds to his face, chest, arms and one of his hands. His injuries, though, are considered not life-threatening, according to the South Pasadena Police Department. The wounded man identified 51-year-old James Hibdon as his assailant. Hibdon was arrested at the L Line station without incident. Both men are transients. Hibdon is being held in Lou of $1 million bail at the Inmate Reception Center in Los Angeles. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor SOUTH PASADENA - Sheriff’s homicide investigators are leading the investigation into a fatal stabbing Saturday morning. The stabbing death of a man occurred in the 500 block of Five Oaks Drive just before 10 a.m. November 28. The man was declared dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. A call of a possible intruder occurred in the 500 block of Five Oaks Drive. Dispatchers received a call from a woman needing help for a relative. The call eventually turned into someone trying to attack the occupants inside, according to South Pasadena Police radio traffic. Officers arrived and found a front window to a home was smashed. Officers earlier claimed a suspect with an arm injury was detained. Soon after, calls to Sheriff’s Homicide detectives were made. At least one person was hospitalized, according to South Pasadena Police radio traffic. |
