SOUTH PASADENA - A South Pasadena Police officer administered a nasal spray to a man suffering a likely overdose October 3.
The man was on the floor, struggling to breathe. Pasadena Police Officer Randy Wise administered four milligrams of nalaxone to the man until he regained consciousness, South Pasadena Police said.
Police responded to a 9-1-1 call from the man’s girlfriend at 1:27 a.m. to the 1500 block of Bank Street for a possibly Heroin overdose.
“The subject regained consciousness and was transported to the hospital for treatment. By the time he arrived at the hospital he was alert and able to answer questions,” South Pasadena Police said.
