Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor SOUTH PASADENA - A man was taken into custody Saturday after allegedly attacking a woman in her home and brandishing a knife at her.
South Pasadena Police received a 9-1-1 call from a woman who left the line open and didn’t say a word to dispatchers. The only words she uttered were “don’t touché me” and “get away from me” at an unknown subject, South Pasadena Police said. Police traced the phone call, placed at 9 a.m., to the 1800 block of Oak Street. “As the first officer arrived on scene, he could also hear the female screaming. He looked through the window and saw a male holding and waving a knife toward a female who was visibly upset,” South Pasadena Police said. The officer ordered the suspect to drop the knife. Additional officers arrived and helped take the suspect into custody. The woman had visible injuries, South Pasadena Police said. Marquis Harmon, 29, an Oakland resident, was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and domestic violence. Harmon is being held in lieu of $50,000 and is scheduled for an appearance in Alhambra Municipal Court June 27. |
