The shooting took place around 9:46 a.m. in the 18600 block of Villa Park Street. The victim, initially described as an adult male, reportedly died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. No other information is available. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor SOUTH SAN JOSE HILLS - One of the two victims shot late Friday night died at the scene, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported. Two men were hit by gunfire in the 100 block of North Winton Avenue just after 10:30 p.m. June 28. Industry deputies arrived to the scene and found a 31-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso. He was declared dead at the scene. Another victim was found suffering from one gunshot wound to the upper torso. The 22-year-old victim remains hospitalized in critical condition, the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said. An earlier story incorrectly stated both victims were taken to an area hospital.
The Sheriff’s Information Bureau has no information on a suspect, however, Lt. Chris Garcia of the Sheriff’s Industry Station stated a blue Nissan Altima was seen speeding away from the location.
