The shooting took place near 19036 La Puente Road just before 5 a.m. Thursday, June 15. The victim was shot through the chest. The bullet exited his back, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s crime broadcast. The victim was treated at the scene by Los Angeles County firefighters and was taken to a hospital where he was last listed in stable condition, according to Watch Commander Creager of the Sheriff’s Industry Station. The victim could not obtain a suspect description. Both suspects were seen running westbound towards Nogales High School and out of view, Creager told SGV CityWatch. It is not yet known if the shooting was gang related, but the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Operation Safe Streets Bureau was notified, Creager told SGV CityWatch. According to the crime broadcast, the victim said there was no gang affiliation involved. It is unclear if investigators have determined a motive for the shooting. Few details are available, but the shooting reportedly took place at North Backton Avenue and Gemini Street January 9. A suspect allegedly fired at an intended victim after stating “you’re in my hood.” A vehicle was struck by several rounds of gunfire from a semi-automatic weapon, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s crime broadcast. It is unclear if anyone was hit by gunfire. A watch sergeant at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station deferred questions to the Sheriffs Information Bureau. The Information Bureau stated that they were not informed of the incident and that the Information Bureau would not have details unless the shooting was a homicide. It is unclear if a suspect was identified and/or taken into custody. The shooting took place around 9:46 a.m. in the 18600 block of Villa Park Street. The victim, initially described as an adult male, reportedly died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. No other information is available. The targeted home is in the 17400 block of Salais Street. The shooting was reported around, according to Lt. James Long of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. At least five bullets were fired at the residence. Spent shell casings were recovered. No injuries were reported, Long told SGV CityWatch. Deputies were called at 2:49 p.m., about 15 minutes after the shooting occurred, Long told SGV CityWatch. A vehicle was damaged by gunfire. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor SOUTH SAN JOSE HILLS - One of the two victims shot late Friday night died at the scene, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported. Two men were hit by gunfire in the 100 block of North Winton Avenue just after 10:30 p.m. June 28. Industry deputies arrived to the scene and found a 31-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso. He was declared dead at the scene. Another victim was found suffering from one gunshot wound to the upper torso. The 22-year-old victim remains hospitalized in critical condition, the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said. An earlier story incorrectly stated both victims were taken to an area hospital.
The Sheriff’s Information Bureau has no information on a suspect, however, Lt. Chris Garcia of the Sheriff’s Industry Station stated a blue Nissan Altima was seen speeding away from the location.
