Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor TEMPLE CITY - Six people trapped inside at a Temple City strip mall were uninjured after an estimated 50 feet of façade collapsed to the front of some stores Wednesday afternoon.
The six people trapped were freed sometime around 5:30 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Firefighters were dispatched to 9449 Las Tunas Drive around 4:06 p.m. May 25. Firefighters waited until a plan was developed for debris removal to safely evacuate to six people trapped inside, according to a battalion chief with the Los Angeles County Fire Department. |
