Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor TEMPLE CITY - Three suspects escaped with cash and jewelry after forcing their way into a home Tuesday night.
The resident called 9-1-1 after the men fled around 8:30 p.m. in the 6000 block of Kauffman Avenue. The suspects fled in an unknown direction, according to Sgt. Klinski of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. Klinksi did not know how the suspects entered. In a Sheriff’s crime broadcast, the suspects were described as Black men, all 5 feet 9 inches tall, between 140 pounds to 200 pounds. All three wore black clothing and covered their faces with black ski masks. One man was armed with a golf club. Deputies have narrowed their search down to the area of Golden West Avenue and Agnes Avenue between Woodruff Avenue and Garibaldi Avenue, according to Sgt. James Long of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. A concerned resident alerted deputies to a burglary in progress in the 6000 block of Rowland Avenue around 5 p.m. One of the aspects fled towards Golden West through residential yards, Long said. It is unknown if the suspect is armed. |
