The suspect was apprehended around 2 p.m. inside the restaurant, 10601 Lower Azusa Rd. The K9 was deployed after the suspect failed to respond to a crisis negotiation team. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau deployed their confined space K9 Derek, a Petterdale Terrier. Derek Found the unidentified suspect hiding in the roof, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Temple Station Deputies arrived to In-N-Out around 2:40 a.m. to an alarm call and found the suspect inside. The restaurant manager said the suspect had no authority to be there, Deputies said. Deputies attempted to order the suspect out, but commands to exit fell on deaf ears. It is unclear if the suspect suffered any injuries from the K9. The suspect has been inside the In-N-Out, 10601 Lower Azusa Rd., since before 3 a.m. Deputies responding to a burglary alarm call found the man inside and he refused commands to exit, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Nearby structures have been evacuated and a crisis negotiation team is on scene. |
