Hospitalized Victim, Shot in Temple City, Later Dies

TEMPLE CITY - A homicide investigation is underway after a victim was found shot and later died Tuesday.

First responders were sent to a reported gunshot victim in the 5100 block of Halifax Road around 12:37 p.m. The victim was taken to a hospital and was declared dead, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The victim was not described.

It is unclear if a suspect has been identified, or arrested.

Victims Zip-Tied, One Shot During Temple City Robbery

TEMPLE CITY - One male suffered a gunshot wound considered not life-threatening after at least two robbers entered a home and zip-tied two occupants early Sunday morning.

Deputies were called to the home in the 9700 block of Longden Avenue around 4:30 a.m. August 28. Money was taken from the home, according to Lt. Van Hoosen of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station.

An infant was also inside the home during the robbery, Van Hoosen told SGV CityWatch.

Investigators are determining how the suspects entered the home.

Descriptions of the suspects were not available. A description of a getaway vehicle was also unavailable.

Shooting at Alleged Gambling Parlor Takes Man’s Life in Temple City

TEMPLE CITY - A shooting left a man dead Tuesday inside what was described as an illegal gambling parlor.

The victim was found inside a building in the 9100 block of Las Tunas Drive March 29. He was found with at least one gunshot wound to the upper torso. He was declared dead at the scene by firefighters, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The Sheriff’s Information Bureau states authorities were called to the area at 12:19 p.m., but the only dispatch for first responders came at 12:44 p.m. to East Las Tunas Dr and Loma Avenue at 12:44 p.m.

The murdered man was described as being in his 30s.

It is unclear if investigators have a suspect description, or if a suspect is in custody.

Second Person Found Dead, Children Rescued at Scene of Temple City Shooting

TEMPLE CITY - A likely case of domestic violence led to a horrific shooting New Year’s Day that left a man and woman dead.

Deputies responded to the 9200 block of Pentland Street on a report of domestic violence with a gunshot victim. Deputies discovered a 27-year-old woman suffering multiple gunshot wounds and 28-year-old man suffer a likely self-inflicted wound. Both died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

“Three juveniles, ranging in age from 5 to 11, were removed from the home unharmed upon the deputies’ arrival. The three lived in the home and are believed to be the children of the deceased female victim,” according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department in a written statement.

A handgun was recovered at the scene.

TEMPLE CITY - A victim initially described as a female adult died from apparent gunshot wounds early New Year’s Day.

The shooting was reported in the 9200 block of Pentland Street around 7:14 a.m. January 1. The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

It is unclear if investigators have identified a suspect.

TEMPLE CITY - Deputies are investigating a shooting that injured a man Sunday evening.

The shooting was reported just before 6:40 p.m. in the 4800 block of Fiesta Avenue May 16. A suspect in a black sedan fled the scene southbound, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department crime broadcast.

The victim’s condition was not stated.

The suspect was described to deputies as a Hispanic man, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 160 pounds. He wore a white shirt, according to the crime broadcast.

The suspect is apparently known, or at least familiar to the victim, according to the crime broadcast.

TEMPLE CITY - A dispute between neighbors led to a shooting that killed a man Monday, homicide detectives said.
The unidentified suspect was detained in the 9400 block of Workman Avenue July 15. A previous statement issued by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported the victim died at the scene, but detectives now said the victim died at a hospital.

TEMPLE CITY - A man died from an apparent gunshot wound Monday evening homicide detectives said.

Firefighters and Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 9400 block of Workman Avenue around 6:06 p.m. A gunshot victim was found and pronounced dead at the scene, according to Deputy Kimberly Alexander of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
There is no suspect information available.

TEMPLE CITY - The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station invites the public to a fundraiser organized for the family of the deputy shot and killed in Alhambra.

The fundraiser will take place Wednesday, June 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Baja Cali Fish & Tacos, 5939 Golden West Ave., for the family of Deputy Joseph Gilbert Solano, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

A $10 donation is suggested. All proceeds go to the Solano family.
Solano, a 13-year-veteran of the Sheriff’s Department was brutally shot at an Alhambra restaurant Monday, June 10. He died after being taken off life support June 12.

Solano was shot in the head after being confronted by suspect Rhett McKenzie Nelson, 30, of St. George Utah.

​Business Owner Shoots Burglar Armed with Crowbar at Temple City Auto Shop

TEMPLE CITY - A suspect shot by a business owner is stable after an armed confrontation during a burglary Monday morning.
 
The confrontation occurred inside an auto shop in the 4700 block of Miller Drive around 3:49 a.m. The business owner was confronted by one suspect armed with a crowbar and opened fire, according to Lt. Tom McNeil of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station.
 
Deputies arrived and arrested a getaway driver. A third suspect was found in the area of the shooting and also arrested, McNeil said.
 
No one else was injured during the burglary.
