Loera of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station said deputies responded to Chase Bank, 8905 E. Las Tunas Dr., at 1:08 p.m. December 9. A suspect, only described as a white male, was detained by Sheriff’s deputies outside the bank and eventually arrested. Loera declined to state how the suspect approached bank employees and if he was armed when detained. The unidentified suspect was detained in the 9400 block of Workman Avenue July 15. A previous statement issued by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported the victim died at the scene, but detectives now said the victim died at a hospital.

Firefighters and Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 9400 block of Workman Avenue around 6:06 p.m. A gunshot victim was found and pronounced dead at the scene, according to Deputy Kimberly Alexander of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau. There is no suspect information available.

The rider parked his motorcycle in a garage and fled into a home in the area of Cloverly Avenue and Wedgewood Street around 10:30 p.m. The CHP and El Monte Police have a perimeter setup with a K9 en route, according to CHP radio traffic. The rider was initially wanted for possible DUI driving. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor TEMPLE CITY - Deputies believe a family was the victim of a prank call after a man stated he shot his wife and tied up another person Saturday night. Sheriff’s dispatchers received a call from a man stating he shot his wife and had another person tied up in the 5900 block of Sultana Avenue just before 8:30 p.m. Deputies, assisted by a helicopter, secured the home and ordered everyone out, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. Deputies finished detaining everyone inside the home and secured the residence by 8:50 p.m.
No shooting victims were found. It is not yet clear where the call originated from. The deputy’s condition is unclear, according to Deputy Charles Moore of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. “We’re still trying to determine exactly what happened,” according to Moore.
The Sheriff’s Temple Station has yet to release information on the circumstances leading to the fall. The suspect was apprehended around 2 p.m. inside the restaurant, 10601 Lower Azusa Rd. The K9 was deployed after the suspect failed to respond to a crisis negotiation team. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau deployed their confined space K9 Derek, a Petterdale Terrier. Derek Found the unidentified suspect hiding in the roof, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Temple Station Deputies arrived to In-N-Out around 2:40 a.m. to an alarm call and found the suspect inside. The restaurant manager said the suspect had no authority to be there, Deputies said. Deputies attempted to order the suspect out, but commands to exit fell on deaf ears. It is unclear if the suspect suffered any injuries from the K9. The suspect has been inside the In-N-Out, 10601 Lower Azusa Rd., since before 3 a.m. Deputies responding to a burglary alarm call found the man inside and he refused commands to exit, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Nearby structures have been evacuated and a crisis negotiation team is on scene. The resident called 9-1-1 after the men fled around 8:30 p.m. in the 6000 block of Kauffman Avenue. The suspects fled in an unknown direction, according to Sgt. Klinski of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. Klinksi did not know how the suspects entered. In a Sheriff’s crime broadcast, the suspects were described as Black men, all 5 feet 9 inches tall, between 140 pounds to 200 pounds. All three wore black clothing and covered their faces with black ski masks. One man was armed with a golf club. |
