Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor TEMPLE CITY - An investigation continues after a suspicious package was found at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station Monday afternoon.
The package, which resembled a United States Postal Service box, was determined safe by the agency’s Arson/Explosives detail, which was summoned to the station, 8838 E. Las Tunas Dr., according to Lt. Marsha Williams of the Sheriff’s Temple Station. Williams declined to explain how the package was discovered, if it was delivered through the mail, or if it was left at the station and discovered by a citizen or deputy. “It looked like a package of items sent from a business, box that is normally sent through the U.S. mail,” Williams said. “The box is similar to those things received in the mail.” No evacuations of the station, nor the surrounding area were made, Williams said. Arson/Explosives Technicians gave the all-clear around 5 p.m. |
