Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor WALNUT - Four of six burglars accused of targeting a building unit were caught and packaged marijuana taken from the property was confiscated Tuesday. Deputies responding to a burglary call in the 20900 block of Currier Road September 24 found at least six suspects fleeing. After four were detained, deputies found vacuum-sealed marijuana hidden in coffee, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Walnut/Diamond Bar Station. Deputies were originally told of a burglary in progress with suspects using crowbars to force their way into the unit just before Noon.
About 10 to 15 boxes of the packaged marijuana were found in the suspects’ van parked outside the building. The owner of the unit was not immediately known. The names of those arrested were not disclosed. All four suspects posted bond. |
