The semi appeared to be exiting the westbound I-10 freeway to Grand Avenue when it somehow fell off the freeway and crashed onto East Garvey Street around 6:30 a.m. March 7, according to the California Highway Patrol. The semi briefly caught fire, but was extinguished. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, but the slick roadway may have contributed, the CHP said. |
