LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner revealed the manner of death for a 38-year-old man found in a home July 14.

Felipe de Jesus Rodriguez died from multiple sharp force injuries. The death was deemed a homicide.

An early-morning call of a man down led first responders to a dead body July 14 in a house in the 2300 block of West Havenbrook Street around 5:49 a.m. Firefighters declared the victim dead at the scene.

WEST COVINA - An early-morning call of a man down led first responders to a dead body Sunday.

Firefighters were called to a house in the 2300 block of West Havenbrook Street around 5:49 a.m. Firefighters discovered the body of a 30-to-40-year-old Latino man, according to Lt. Brian Daniels of the West Covina Police Department.

“Our detectives were notified and they are investigating a homicide,” Daniels told SGV CityWatch.

Daniels did not elaborate on the possible cause of the man’s death. It does not appear that anyone else was injured.

WEST COVINA - A 60-year-old man was found dead at a bus stop early Sunday morning.

First responders were sent to the intersection of California Avenue and West Covina Parkway around 3:47 a.m. July 7 to a call of a man down at the location. Investigators are deeming this death a homicide, according to the West Covina Police Department.

The victim has yet to be publicly identified.

LOS ANGELES - The men killed by gunfire at a West Covina apartment complex were identified recently.

Maliki Foust, Jr., 22, was found shot to death in a vehicle. Majarion Foust, 19, was wounded and later died at a hospital, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.

Maliki, listed as a Victorville resident, died from multiple gunshot wounds. His manner of death was homicide. Majarion has a pending examination, according to coroner records.

Both men died in the 3400 block of South Sentous Avenue. West Covina Police officers were called around 10:45 p.m. November 2.

It is not publicly clear if investigators have identified any suspects.

WEST COVINA – Two men were killed, found with gunshot wounds late Wednesday night. 

The men were found in the 3400 block of South Sentous Avenue after police were called at 10:45 p.m. November 2. One man was declared dead at the scene, the second victim died at a hospital according to Lt. Travis Tibbetts of the West Covina Police Department.

It is unclear if detectives have identified any suspects, or what motive led to the shooting.

WEST COVINA – An early-morning altercation likely lead to a man’s death in a shopping center parking lot Thursday, police said.

Investigators preliminarily believe that the man found unresponsive by officers in the 1500 block of East Amar Road August 26 was struck by a vehicle that was leaving the rear lot of a shopping center, according to the West Covina Police Department.

Officers attempted to save the man, but he died at the scene.

Police were called to the shopping center at 2:38 a.m.

"Witnesses heard an altercation and a vehicle leaving the area. Upon arrival an adult male was found unresponsive on the ground in the rear parking lot of a shopping center," according to the West Covina Police Department in a written statement.

WEST COVINA - Detectives have released video of a vehicle involved in the fatal shooting of an El Monte man.

The shooting that occurred November 3, 2019 left Jaime Fernandez, 26, dead. He was gunned down in his vehicle in the 300 block of South Glendora Avenue. The shooting occurred around 12:50 a.m., according to the West Covina Police Department.

There was more than one person inside the black four-door sedan detectives say was involved in the murder. One person in the black sedan allegedly flashed a gang sign associated with the Puente 13 Blackwood street gang during the confrontation with Fernandez, West Covina Police said.

One suspect was described as a Hispanic man in his mid-30s. He wore a manicured or trimmed beard.

Woman Shot at West Covina Intersection Dies

WEST COVINA - The woman who was shot inside a vehicle as it sat at an intersection January 2 has succumbed to her wounds.

The still publicly-unidentified woman was the passenger in a vehicle at East Amar Road and South Azusa Avenue Saturday when a gunman opened fire around 10:16 p.m.

The 29-year-old woman was transported to a local hospital, according to Lt. Tony Cortina of the West Covina Police Department.

Next of kin have not been spoken to by coroner investigators, so the victim’s name is not yet being released, according to Sarah Ardalani, public information officer for the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.

It is not publicly known if detectives have a possible suspect or vehicle description.

WEST COVINA - A man died at the scene of a triple shooting that sent two other victims to area hospitals.

Officers found the victims after arriving to a report of gunfire in the 1100 block of East Larkwood Street around 9:13 p.m., West Covina Police said.

A man was critically wounded. A woman received injuries considered not life-threatening, West Covina Police said.

“Detectives are currently investigating the incident as a homicide,” West Covina Police said in a written statement.

WEST COVINA - A Hispanic man in his 20s was found dead of an apparent gunshot wound to his upper torso early Monday.

The man was found laying on a sidewalk by a passerby in the 900 block of West Service Avenue November 25.
The man has not been publicly identified yet. Next of kin have yet to be identified, according to Lt. Larry Dietz of the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.

While calling the death a homicide investigation, West Covina Police did not state if a suspect description was available.
