Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor WEST PUENTE VALLEY - A gunman opened fire on the driver of a green GMC truck Saturday morning, leaving multiple bullet holes in the driver’s vehicle.
The driver was found at the Speedway gas station, 14360 Francisquito Ave., after he flagged down a California Highway Patrol officer. The driver’s truck was hit twice and the driver escaped injury, according to Lt. James Long of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. The CHP then called Sheriff’s deputies to investigate. The driver reportedly was not cooperative with deputies. He would not provide any suspect or vehicle information, yet he had the mindset to inform the CHP that four rounds of gunfire came from a dark-colored sedan, Long told SGV CityWatch. “Bullet casings were found in the middle of the street. It looks like the car was probably westbound,” Long told SGV CityWatch. |
