The man was wounded near the intersection of Sunset Avenue and Amar Road around 5:42 p.m. Monday, April 29. The victim spoke to deputies and said he heard the sound of two shots, then realized he was struck, according to Sgt. Chavez of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. The shooter was only described as a Black male. The blue Tesla fled westbound on Amar Road. There is no description for the driver, Chavez told SGV CityWatch. It is not clear why the pedestrian was shot. Chavez did not immediately know if some sort of argument led to the shooting. It is unclear if the shooting was random or targeted. Deputies have little information regarding the shooting, since the teen was tight-lipped after winding up at Queen of the Valley Hospital, according to Lt. Deputies were notified of the shooting victim around 10:40 p.m. Deputies did learn that the shooting reportedly took place at Fairgrove Avenue and Aldgate Avenue. The driver was found at the Speedway gas station, 14360 Francisquito Ave., after he flagged down a California Highway Patrol officer. The driver’s truck was hit twice and the driver escaped injury, according to Lt. James Long of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. The CHP then called Sheriff’s deputies to investigate. The driver reportedly was not cooperative with deputies. He would not provide any suspect or vehicle information, yet he had the mindset to inform the CHP that four rounds of gunfire came from a dark-colored sedan, Long told SGV CityWatch. “Bullet casings were found in the middle of the street. It looks like the car was probably westbound,” Long told SGV CityWatch. Deputies responding to the 1100 block of Stitchman Avenue around 6:47 p.m. April 2 found the victim who was soon declared dead at the scene, according to Deputy Eric Ortiz of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. Deputies were called at 7:07 p.m. to the area of Judith Street and Millbury Avenue December 21. No suspects, or victims were located, according to Sgt. Durante of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. Deputies took a report for an illegal discharge of a firearm, Durante told SGV CityWatch. The shooting occurred in the 1000 block of Greeberry Drive around 6:45 p.m., according to Sgt. Armando Martinez of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. There is no suspect, or vehicle description available, Martinez told SGV CityWatch. The victim was initially taken to Kaiser Baldwin Park before being rerouted to an area trauma center, according to Sheriff’s radio traffic. A 21-year-old man was shot in the head in the 600 block of California Avenue. Paramedics transported the victim to County/USC Medical Center, according to Lt. Lim of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Industry Station. A current condition for the victim was not available. As of roughly 4 a.m. October 3 doctors stabilized the victim, Lim told SGV CityWatch Saturday evening.
The lieutenant on duty at Industry Station Sunday afternoon did not have any information regarding the investigation. The shooting occurred around 8:42 p.m. October 2. A motive was not known, Lim told SGV CityWatch. A dark-colored 4-door sedan was seen fleeing the area after the shooting. No suspect description was available. Alfred Reyes, a La Puente resident, was identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner. Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station responded to a “man down” call April 11 at Giordano Street and Glenshaw Drive at 11:52 p.m. Reyes was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. Reyes died at the scene.

Deputies responding to a gunfire call found a victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound in the 14600 block of Flynn Street around 4:14 p.m. July 17. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he is listed in stable condition, according to Sheriff’s Industry Station Lt. Chris Garcia.

The robbery was reported around 9:30 p.m. in the 700 block of North Sunset Avenue February 25. The suspect used a black semi-automatic handgun to take a cellphone and hundreds in cash, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. The suspect fled into a waiting black four-door Honda Civic, which drove away eastbound on Homeward Street. The armed suspect is described as a 23-year-old Hispanic man, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 150 pounds to 160 pounds. He wore a hat, grey hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. |
