Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor MAYFLOWER VILLAGE - Firefighters are extinguishing a fire inside an abandoned building in Unincorporated Arcadia. The fire was reported just after 4 p.m. at 4257 E. Live Oak Ave. Firefighters reported smoke and fire showing from the rear of a one-story commercial building, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Firefighters from Arcadia and Monrovia are assisting county firefighters. Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor MAYFLOWER VILLAGE – One man received non-life-threatening wounds, two others were unscathed after an unspecified confrontation with an armed man outside a bar Monday morning.
The shooting took place outside the bar in the 4200 block of Live Oak Avenue just after midnight. The victim was taken to an area trauma center, said Sgt. Carbajal of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. The bar is Shady Bradys, 4273 Live Oak Avenue. The shooting took place as all three men fled the bar, Carbajal said. The suspect is a male Hispanic in his 20s, 5-foot 5 to 5 feet 6 inches tall and 150 pounds. A clothing description was not available, Carbajal said. The suspect fled in a white vehicle westbound on Live Oak Avenue, Carbajal said. Mayflower Village is a census-designated place, an unincorporated community near Arcadia. |
