Detectives identified a newer-model silver Audi four-door sedan with a sunroof, an older-model burgundy four-door sedan with right front end traffic collision damage and a newer-model silver four-door sedan, all seen in the immediate area after the shooting, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The newer-model silver four-door sedan was last seen in the area of Figueroa Avenue and Navarro Street. The shooting occurred at 12:33 p.m. as the deputy was driving northbound in the 2500 block of Fair Oaks Avenue. One of the two suspects pointed a firearm in the deputy’s direction and fired several gunshots, detectives said. The deputy was uninjured. The deputy reportedly witnessed a crime in progress at the scene where the two suspects were at with a group of people. It is not yet clear publicly what crime may have been occurring before the gunfire erupted. Both suspects are believed to be Hispanic. One suspect removed a black jacket and shoes well fleeing the shooting. The second suspect’s white jacket was also found discarded nearby, detectives said. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor ALTADENA - Three men who matched the description of suspects involved in multiple shootings that left two men wounded Sunday were arrested, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
The three suspects were located by Pasadena police officers in Pasadena Sunday afternoon. Sheriff’s detectives and investigators from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Operation Safe Streets Bureau took the three men into custody, the sheriffs department said. Deputies were on the hunt for three suspects in a silver or gray sedan, described as a possible Nissan Maxima. The shootings occurred throughout Altadena starting just after Noon with one man wounded in the 3100 block of Santa Anita Avenue around 12:11 p.m., according to Deputy Eric Ortiz of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. A 49-year-old Black man was found wounded at the location, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Shootings were reported at two different liquor stores in the 2600 block of Fair Oaks Avenue 30 minutes after the first shooting. No victims were found, deputies said. A 31-year-old black man was found wounded after gunfire rang out in the 3100 block of Olive Avenue, just 10 minutes after the shootings on Fair Oaks Avenue, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said. A shooting was also reported in a 200 block of W. Harriet St. Shortly after, the three suspects were arrested. Motives for the shootings are either unknown, or have not been publicly shared yet. A nearby surveillance camera caught both suspects fleeing. Both suspects shed some of their clothing as they ran. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau is continuing to investigate the shooting death, which occurred around 1 p.m., in the 2400 block of Canyada Avenue. Deputies responding to a gunfire call found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper torso near Canyada Avenue and Figueroa Drive. The victim was reportedly driving when an unknown suspect fired upon him, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. The victim, only described as a 45-year-old Black man, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, deputies said. The suspect fired multiple rounds in the 2000 block of Canyada Avenue and reportedly drove away.
Deputies focused on a house where the suspect was thought to be. With the help of the Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau, the home was cleared. No suspect was found. The shooting occurred on West Figueroa Drive near North Canyada Avenue just after 1 p.m. February 16, according to the Los Angeles county fire department. The sheriffs department has yet to publicly provide a suspect description, if one exists. An 18-year-old Black man was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died. A Black juvenile was also hospitalized after being wounded in the lower extremities, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. The suspect, only described as a Hispanic man, opened fire on the two victims from inside a vehicle in the 2100 block of Santa Anita Avenue June 10 around 4:39 p.m. A vehicle description is unknown.

Firefighters were called to two gunshot victims just before 4:40 p.m. in the 2100 block of Santa Anita Avenue. Both patients were transported to an area hospital, according to Dispatch Supervisor Melanie Flores of the Los Angeles County Fire Department and Sgt. Dirk Blansfield of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station. The shooting unfolded outside of a residence. Descriptions of a suspect and suspect vehicle were not available, Blansfield said. The shooting took place at Lincoln Avenue and Woodbury Road around 9:42 p.m. October 21. Deputies responding to the location found a white vehicle with bullet holes and an injured man, said Sgt. Gary Harmon of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Crescenta Valley Station. The injured man refused to provide information to deputies on how he was shot, or provide a suspect and vehicle description, Harmon said. The man was taken to Huntington memorial Hospital for treatment, Harmon said. The shooting may have been gang related. The victim was found shot after deputies responded a call of shots fired in the 300 block of Palm Street around 9 p.m. The victim, who was about to walk into his home when he was shot, is expected to survive his injuries. Nothing more about the suspects involved is known since the victim is being uncooperative with deputies, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Altadena crime broadcast. A .40-caliber weapon was used. A white sedan seen fleeing the area in an unknown direction may have been involved, deputies said. |
