Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor BALDWIN PARK - A potential pervert is accused of stalking a girl as she walked home from school March 20.
The incident unfolded around 2:45 p.m. The girl stopped at Linda’s Burger, 4758 Maine Ave., to get food. While at the restaurant, the girl noticed a man, said to be in his mid to late 30s, continuously staring at her. The girl left the restaurant and saw the man began following her in his car, according to the Baldwin Park Police Department. The man allegedly drove past her, stopped his vehicle and once she was near him he began asking her questions about her day, her name, her age and where she lived. The girl walked past him, according to the Baldwin Park Police Department. The man drove past her a second time, parked, and again waited for her. “The minor pulled out her phone and made a call to a family member. Upon seeing this, the male adult drove away at a high rate of speed east on Olive Street to south on Phelan Avenue,” according to the Baldwin Park Police Department in a written statement. The suspect is described as having a light complexion, thin build and is between 35 to 40 years old. He wore a black hat, black, sunglasses, black shirt and black pants. He drove a gray or silver four-door sedan. Anyone who can identify the suspect is urged to call the Baldwin Park police department at 626-960-1955. |
