Firefighters responding to a medical emergency call near Baldwin Park Boulevard and Louden Lane at 9:36 a.m. found the victim unresponsive and not breathing, according to Dispatch Supervisor Art Marrujo of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. CPR was initiated, but the victim was ultimately deemed a long-term death, Marrujo told SGV CityWatch. A supervisor at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station did not have details yet regarding the death investigation and said deputies were still at the scene. A Sig Alert has been issued for an unknown duration for all westbound lanes. None of the food has spilled from the semi, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash was reported at 9:54 p.m., according to the CHP. An unspecified sedan may have been involved in the crash. Some impatient drivers are using the Fullerton Road on ramp to exit the freeway, the CHP said. Someone was seen fleeing the scene of the crash. A police helicopter was called to search, but the suspect has not been located. The fire is 50 feet by 50 feet wide and is affecting large trees nearby between a parking lot and a nearby structure, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The fire, dispatched at 4:01 p.m., is not threatening any nearby structures. A 29-year-old man became pinned after the forklift reportedly fell off a loading dock in the 100 block of North Baldwin Park Boulevard around 3:50 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The man was removed after another forklift lifted the fallen forklift that pinned the man, firefighters said.
Firefighters report the man suffered moderate injuries to an arm and partial amputation. The man was transported by helicopter to an area trauma center for further treatment. The collision occurred at Turnbull Canyon Road and Don Julian around 9:15 a.m. One occupant was trapped inside one of the vehicles and two patients met trauma center criteria, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Patients are in the process of being transported at the time this story published. Deputies are setting a containment search for a student who may be armed on campus. Firefighters were dispatched to the Industry Sheriff’s Station, 150 N. Hudson Ave., at 8:26 a.m. and are awaiting the arrival of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Arson/Explosives Detail, according to Dispatch Supervisor Art Marrujo of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. It is unclear exactly where the item was found or what it may look like. An Industry Sheriff’s Station supervisor was unable to answer calls for information. The robbery occurred at the T-Mobile, 17501 Colima Rd. around 6:05 p.m. The suspects fled in a black, newer-model Mercedes two-door vehicle, which was seen being driven westbound Colima Road towards Azusa Avenue. The first suspect is a Black man in his mid-20s, is 6 feet 4 inches tall, has a medium build and wore grey sweatpants and blue and red baseball hat. The second suspect is a Black man in his mid-20s, 5 feet 6 inches tall and has a slim build. His hair was in dreadlocks, deputies said. |
