The suspect fled in a newer-model gray Mercedes GLE. The SUV featured all tinted windows and a taped up gas cap. The suspects fled north on Hacienda Boulevard from the shopping center and out of view, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s crime broadcast. The attempted robbery occurred around 7:30 p.m. Friday, August 19. The victim could only describe one suspect: a male black wearing a red beanie who brandished a black semi-automatic handgun, according to the crime broadcast. The make and value of the watch are not readily known. Reports for the attempted robbery may be available Monday morning, according to a supervisor at the Sheriff’s Industry Station. The man likely accidentally shot himself in the upper torso at his home in Hacienda Heights April 25. The man reportedly fled to Los Angeles County Fire Department Station 118 for medical assistance, according to Lt. Bernal of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. Deputies were called to investigate around 7 p.m. Deputies wrote and served a search warrant at the man’s home, unclear about the circumstances of the shooting, but then determined the shooting was likely negligent, Bernal told SGV CityWatch. The man’s current condition is not publicly known. |
