The collision was reported around 7:34 a.m. on the westbound 210 freeway at the southbound 605 freeway. A motorcyclist died in the HOV lane after apparently colliding with a black BMW SUV, according to California Highway Patrol traffic logs. An off-duty firefighter reportedly stopped to assist with the crash and preliminarily determined that the rider was deceased at the scene, according to California Highway Patrol traffic logs. The HOV and No. 1 lane remain blocked for westbound lanes of the 210 freeway at the 605. An estimated 141 customers remain without power near the crash that occurred on eastbound Arrow Highway at Gayhurst Street around 4:26 p.m. February 21. A 2019 grey Kia sedan being driven eastbound on Arrow Highway struck a 2016 Ford pickup truck that was turning south from westbound Arrow to Gayhurst Street. The Kia then struck a power pole, according to the Irwindale Police Department. The driver of the Kia died at the scene. His female passenger was extricated from the vehicle and taken by helicopter to a trauma center. The driver of the Ford truck was uninjured and spoke with investigators. “SCE crews are currently on-scene to restore power and to repair the damaged utility pole. This work is expected to take 24-hours to complete,” according to the Irwindale Police Department in a statement posted at 1:42 a.m. It is unclear if alcohol and/or drugs were factors in the crash. The crash near East Cypress Street and North Azusa Canyon Road around 2:46 a.m. killed one person at the scene. One person was taken to a trauma center, according to Dispatch Supervisor Diaz of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The Irwindale Police Department had traffic redirected during a collision investigation. The crash occurred at Arrow Highway and Vincent Avenue around 2 p.m. The suspect 38-year-old Gabriela Reyes, fled her Ford F-150 on foot after the crash, according to the Irwindale Police Department. Two people were hospitalized. “Using information from witnesses and obtained during their investigation, our detectives identified the driver who left the scene,” according to the Irwindale Police Department in a written statement. Due to the county's "zero bail" policy, she was later released with a citation to appear in court, according to the Irwindale Police Department. Joscelyne Christine Flores, a Covina resident, is accused of causing the vehicle she drove to jump a couple of raised islands, forcing it to plow through the roll-up door of Royal Oaks Custom Paint and Body, 14314 Arrow Hwy., late Monday. The collision and ensuing fire caused extensive damage to not only the building, but several customers’ vehicles, according to the Irwindale Police Department. Flores was briefly hospitalized and later booked on suspicion of driving under the influence. Flores was issued a citation and released, according to Los Angeles County booking records. Minor Injuries Reported After Foothill Transit Bus Collides with Street Sweeper in Irwindale11/5/2021 Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor IRWINDALE – Three people were hospitalized, including a bus passenger, after a Foothill Transit bus and a street sweeper collided Thursday afternoon.
The northbound Foothill Transit bus collided with the street sweeper, which was also northbound around 12:40 p.m. November 4. The bus was transporting only one passenger at the time, according to the Irwindale Police Department. Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics treated all three patients who were eventually taken to nearby hospitals. It appears the Foothill Transit bus rear-ended the street sweeper, according to photos from the Irwindale Police Department. “The cause of this traffic collision remains under investigation, however it does not appear that drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision,” according to the Irwindale Police Department in a written statement. All lanes of Longden Avenue between Live Oak Avenue and Myrtle Avenue will be closed likely into the late night for a traffic collision investigation, according to the Irwindale Police Department. The collision occurred around 5:11 p.m. June 11, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. No one else was involved in a crash. The rider died at the scene, according to Sgt.
