Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor SOUTH EL MONTE - A man suspected of trying to steal vehicle parts was confronted and stabbed to death early Friday.
The stabbing took place in the 1100 block of Thienes Avenue Friday, April 21 around 2:37 a.m. The suspect, described as a 45 to 50-year-old man, was with possibly two other suspects attempting to steal vehicle parts when a resident confronted the trio. The suspect was declared dead at the scene. One person has been detained for questioning, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
