A woman was also injured in the shooting, which took place around 8:45 p.m. in the 1200 block of South Larimore Avenue. Both victims were taken to a hospital where the male victim was declared dead, according to Deputy Marvin Crowder of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

Victor Garcia was last seen around 5:10 p.m. Garcia reportedly ran away from Queen of the Valley, 1115 S. Sunset Ave., West Covina Police said. Garcia stand 4 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 92 pounds, has black hair, brown eyes and wore a grey jacket and blue jeans. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor WEST COVINA - An 18-year-old man and 19-year-old man were arrested recently, accused of being involved in a January shooting, West Covina Police announced. Trevall Jones, 18, from Pomona, and Steven Hernandez, 19, from La Puente, were taken into custody. Jones was arrested in Pomona February 1 and Hernandez was arrested in La Puente January 30, West Covina Police said. A 30-year-old woman was hit by gunfire around 12:30 a.m. in the shooting in the 500 block of South Charvers Avenue January 27. She was hit in the upper torso, but is expected to survive her injuries, West Covina Police said.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed charges against the suspects. Jones was charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and shooting at an occupied home. Hernandez was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and shooting at an occupied home, West Covina Police said. Bail for the suspects was set at $1 million each. |
