The suspect failed to take anything from the store and fled in a waiting white GMC SUV. The driver was only described as a man. The suspect is described as a Black man in his early 20s, in a blue hoodie, blue pants, white shoes and has dreadlocks. He stands 5 feet 7 inches tall, 180 to 200 pounds. The suspect shed his blue hoodie near the Colima Road Store. Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor HACIENDA HEIGHTS - At least two home burglars fled just after deputies got on scene of a residential burglary Friday evening.
The home in the 3100 block of Cappa Drive was found ransacked when deputies entered the residence after being called by the owner who watched on a remote video feed the suspects break in, according to Lt. Hugo Reynaga of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. The owner called deputies at 6:23 p.m. “As the first unit gets there, he sees a car looking like its backing out and hears it honking,” Reynaga said, the honking possibly a signal to the suspects inside. The deputy was driving in the opposite direction of the suspect vehicle that was already leaving the neighborhood and turned around to stop the car, but it fled the area and out of view of the deputy. Deputies contained the home, believing a suspect was still inside, but no one was found. No arrests were made. One suspect is described as a Hispanic man in a black hoodie. The second suspect was described as a Black man. |
